The North Bay Performing Arts Center offers instruction in Classical Ballet, Pointe', Modern,
Pas de Deux, Hip Hop, Jazz, Modern, Tap, Mediterranean dance, and Ballroom. Enjoy friends, healthy movement, and gain strength. Marcella Contessi-Smith founded the Contessi Ballet School in 1977 and created the North Bay Performing Arts Center to offer a wide variety of dance styles for children and adults. The center has highly talented, professionally trained, experienced teachers in the performing arts. We are proud of the excellent reputation we have built and are dedicated to maintaining quality.

Instruction methods and techniques are based on the firm belief that every student has
something to offer and learning to dance should be fun and exciting! It is important that each student develop a sense of self confidence and self-esteem. All students receive a
generous amount of personal attention. We recognize the potential in each child and
work very hard to assist the students in developing to their fullest.

Andrea Beach
We want to congratulate Andrea for being selected as our First Monthly Instructor Highlight.
Andrea has been a dedicated and caring instructor whom all of our students love very much. She has volunteered her time to help the Studio countless times to fill in for teachers, help paint sets, and attend functions to get the word out about Contessi Ballet. She continues with such dedication to the studio even with a full-time college load and job. Please read the attached Highlight to learn more about Andrea. We are so happy to have her as an instructor, Principal dancer and family member of Contessi Ballet
